English News
Some of you may be searching for some English news on my blog, so here they are - 4 weeks of training and working are over, and the time has been exciting, challenging and fun. The triathlon camp was brilliant, both because of the persons there as well as the excellent coaches from Canada! Starting work here was not entirely easy, because I didn't know many of the little roads and cafes since the triathlon team doesn't usually go for that to a great extend. In the meantime, I know the island very well and navigate my groups all around the flats and mountains.
Because I had such a strong group this week, I could do a very long route with them (Soller & Sa Calobra). We had plenty of fun during the 130km ride, and it was a good training for me as well. The next day, we took it a bit lighter with a finca-serrano ham-pool-strawberry cake tour. Regardless, we had our 80km and 900m vertical meters at the end of the ride. There are more cyclists here this year than normally at this time, so I will quite busy for the last three weeks. In a week, the Swiss national ski team (men) is coming.
I am the only female group leader left today, which is excellent to have full groups, because you clearly have a women's bonus here, at least until you take the first wrong turn ;-) In between, I learn more about how to repair bikes, clean hundreds of bikes every evening and "free" day, work in the boutique... this ain't no holiday, but my legs profit, so I won't complain a second, and I am as taint as one can be in May! Big hug around the world!!!
